If God Said It, Walk In It!
Sounds easier said than done, right?! I know it is for me! Nine times out of ten when I know God tells me, leads me, prompts me to do or say something I begin thinking of reasons I can’t and shouldn’t. I start asking Him all of the “what-if” questions as if He doesn’t know all! Maybe I’m the only one, but I highly doubt it. I will say that I’ve gotten better about giving Him a full yes in the past few years because He has never failed me and He won’t start now! I think of all the people in the Bible that took the step because God said so! And guess what?! He did what He said He would do! If He did it for them, why wouldn’t He for me and you?! Think about Moses...what if He didn’t hold out his staff before the Red Sea? Noah, what if He never stepped out and started the ark? What if Elijah never went to the widow and what if she’d said no about using her last to make him bread? Could they have both starved and died because of one’s disobedience? What if the little boy with the loaves and fish would have held onto what he had?
How many times could our stepping out change the trajectory of not just our lives, but those around us?! I believe there are many of US who have been given God dreams and assignments, but we’ve continued to let fear of the unknown, fear of failure, and our insecurities stop us. Listen, if God said it walk in it! Write the book, start the business, go back to school, teach His word, leave the job, start the new career, whatever HE HAS TOLD YOU TO DO...do it! Remember His timing isn’t ours, but if HE said, HE will follow through. WALK IN IT!!
Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Matthew 6:25 – “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Psalm 9:10 – And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
TRUST HIM! As always, I’m talking to myself as I type this! In fact, it’s taken me so long to do this one because it’s a hard pill for me to swallow. Yep, me, the co-pastor/pastor’s wife! We can all use a reminder! IF GOD SAID IT, WALK IN IT!
You hold me accountable and I’ll do the same for you!
Blessings!
